About the role
Now, Orca Security is scaling the Front-End team and looking for a Front-End Developer. We are looking for a strong, curious, and funny person to be a part of the well-coordinated team.
Disclaimer: we really appreciate your React/JS skills and experience, but we expect your primary focus on HTML/CSS for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and modify UI components
- Participate in team discussions and contribute to result decisions
- Help teammates to achieve clean and scalable CSS
- Communicate with designers to find the best way to build UI
Requirements:
- 3+ years of commercial front-end development experience
- Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS, having the drive to create markup and style anything the world can challenge you with
- Fundamental React expertise
- Confident experience with CSS-in-JS solutions (the library doesn’t matter, but we use styled-components)
- SVG understanding, ability to manage and style inline SVG
- UX expertise, understanding good and bad practices
- High level of self-management and self-organization, ability to explain your point of view to designers
- English Level — B1/Intermediate. It’s required to read our documentation provided only in English and to maintain some minor communication with the customer
Nice to have:
- Experience with Figma, minimal knowledge of how to inspect and export layers
- Understanding of CSS methodologies — we don’t use it directly, but would be great to follow naming conventions and styling system
- UI Kit development experience — in addition to working on a core application we started to create a unified design system
- Experience with external components system (like Ant, Material, etc)
